These lights are easy to install. The light strips provide excellent lighting for steps. I purchased one package of six strips. I used five strips spaced out along a 17 foot step by the pool. I used one strip for a small raised seating area.

These are a set of nice looking and high quality, durable solar step lights. In my experience they didn’t get super bright but they do the job of highlighting a step in the dark so you aren’t surprised. My issue is that my concrete steps are slightly covered by our front patio roof, so they don’t get enough sunlight. This meant the lights didn’t activate often enough for my use. It wasn’t an issue with the lights, but more my placement.The instructions are great and explain that the double sided tape is not for permanent hold, just to help with installation using silicone glue. Well packaged and attractive lights. Smaller than I expected, but fit the given measurements. These can be used in wet weather or snow, which is a plus.
These are excellent. The adhesive tape plus silicone work well on pavers…even when hanging under the lip of stairs.

The aluminum construction is heavy duty and solid with good waterproofing.I really like these lights but I had to buy two packs to do the step that I had. The price was high for just a 2 pack with a small coverage area.These work best for a ingle-step application or accent lighting. They need to be installed in an area with good sun exposure for charging. These could also be used for a decorative enhancement under windows or along pathways for safety lighting.Overall I like these solar charged lights that stay lit all night and add safety to my steps.

SHONELIGHTING Solar Step LightsBottom line: Works well so far and lasts all night if given an adequate amount of sun. Illuminates my front steps enough to not need a bigger overhead light. Wish the individual LEDs weren’t as visible and were more of an indirect light.Pros: Very easy to “install”, it’s just a couple of adhesive strips and they also supply some silicone for additional adhesion. I stuck it under my door on a piece of Azek trim and it felt like it stuck well immediately without pressing too much. Time will tell how well the adhesive strips hold up with the seasons, but it would be easy enough to just add new strips.I have the light on the south side of my house so it gets plenty of sunlight to charge throughout the day. It stays illuminated all night which is nice.The LEDs emit enough light to see some steps if mounted down low, but aren’t bright enough to mount up high and provide a flood light effect. They’re not so bright to be a nuisance by shining in your window in my opinion. Unless of course you were to mount it right in front of a window.The housing seems pretty durable, but again we will see how it holds up to rain/snow/ice.Cons: The individual LEDs are visible which is not really a problem but would be nice if they were diffused in some way. Alternatively if the LEDs were pointed at the ground it would create an indirect lighting effect that would be more visually appealing.
Easy install solar lights for the staircase. These had good battery life and longevity during the night. They have a streamlined modern look, and the perfect size to illuminate a standard single width stair tread, or could be linked with several on a wider step for more light.
These are great, mount easily even on rough surfaces. Seems like the adhesive works well, backed up by a little silicon. Wish the silicon "glue" was clear rather than than white, but that's not too big of an issue. Battery life seems good. Lighting could be directed down a little better - I would like to not have the direct lighting but a downward facing shade or something. Again, not a big deal, but just a thought. I'm using these a little higher in the air (on pillars) surrounding a sidewalk.
I love these lights for the step at my house. They charge during the day and light up the step at night. They were super easy to install. There was a small tube of silicone in the box so no moisture will get behind them.
It's going to take me a while to like this item. They are very small though I am sure they cast good light. I can not find an on/off switch for them so they must be automatic. They were not charged coming out of the box so I will have to set them out to see if they work. I was not expecting them to have to be attached to "risers" which they do. My outdoor steps currently don't support that option. They feel heavy duty and solid but I am not sure if that means anything. For their size, the price seems way too high. Hopefully their quality and longevity proves me otherwise. Should I miraculously fall in love with these things I will update my review to reflect that.
The solar panel on these lights are large and keep the light strips bright! We plan to attach these to our outdoor deck steps. They’re fairly small so it won’t light up the whole step but they’re a good enough length to add a helpful level of safety!
I received these items this afternoon. Despite the rain and cloud cover, they have been outside for approximately 7 hours and are remarkably vibrant. I am pleased with the length and the overall quality of construction. These products offer excellent value for the price and I intend to make additional purchases.
I was a little concerned that these may not work well for our step-down patio due to no direct sunlight. I was so excited to see that these powered up beautifully and illuminated very well. We like to entertain, and I am always concerned that someone may 'miss' the step down. This solved the problem in a very attractive way. I originally used the foam adhesive strips to attach these higher on the step, but they did not hold them to the concrete step securely (no surprise there). Once I moved them down against the ground, the adhesive strips held them nicely in place. There was no need for the silicon glue- although I appreciate that it was included.
