No. 4×8 pavers are just the easiest—swap a paver for a flush finish. Non-4×8 surfaces also work: install in-ground by creating a recessed pocket (concrete, tile, gravel, soil, etc.).

Lifespan varies by environment, but it’s built to stay efficient longer: the ETFE solar panel is designed for long service life, and the fully sealed body + stable power design help reduce aging, cracking, and weak charging.

Auto ON/OFF: charges in daylight and turns on at dusk. It turns ON in low light (≤70 lux) and turns OFF in bright light (≥70 lux). Indoor tests may stay OFF—cover the panel or test in a dark area.

Runtime depends on sunlight, season, and install location. With ETFE solar + a 2600mAh battery, it’s designed for stable night lighting. In winter or shade, runtime may decrease—install in full sun for best results.
